They were very professional and on time. I just move to Albany and notice majority of the homes here,are without gutters. I purchase this home a month ago, had it painted. That’s when we discover damages on different part of the fascia, due to excessive moisture over the years. I say this to say, it is so vital to have gutters on a home. Our roof was damaged in the January 2017 storms, and Mike and Roof Services offered a quick, efficient, and -— as we can attest more than three years later — quality roof replacement. Other companies, when they even bothered to return our calls, wanted to know how much our insurance was going to pay before they would look at the roof. Mike and his team didn’t ask about insurance. They simply came out, looked at the storm damage, and gave an estimate to replace the roof based on what they saw, and what type of roof we wanted, not contingent upon seeing the insurance estimate. This practice by other local roofing companies of insisting on seeing the insurance estimates has to be a scam. When I total a car and go buy a new one, the car salesman doesn’t ask how much insurance paid to cover my old car. The price of a car isn’t dependent on how much insurance pays out, and neither should the price of a roof. I also like the fact that Mike uses local roofing craftsmen, and not itinerant laborers, as some other companies do. When a storm a couple of years later knocked a shingle loose, Mike sent some employees out the next day to fix the issue for free, even though it was storm damage and not a workmanship or materials defect. When we went to sell the home, and a “home inspector” tried to find fault with the ventilation, Mike sent a team member not two hours after I called to double check the work. Mike spoke with all the parties involved to explain what the current code was and how the “home inspector” was misinformed about roofing practices and code. Again, no charge. Other roofers spend a lot on advertising, but this is the best roofing company you might never have heard of. And you’ll probably pay half of what those other guys charge, especially when their “estimate” conveniently match the insurance estimate.
